Oysters & Pearls
The most beautiful and authentic shapes already exist: in nature.
For many decades, pearls have been scorned, having acquired a decadent, bourgeois aftertaste. To me, they're an expression of elegance, not decadence.
I aim to neutralise this impression with baroque pearls, imperfect freshwater pearls in wild shapes, or simply by decorating them with colourful accents - to bring pearls playfully closer to people again. I love combining them with metal, gemstones, and other elements to strip away the dullness so often attributed to them.
The same goes for the oyster: the epitome of a high-end appetiser, surrounded by the snobbery of those who watch to see whether others truly know how to appreciate it. When it comes to jewellery, it's simple. Wear it, enjoy it, and celebrate the sheer beauty of what nature has created.
